The Alpha\u2019s pre-invasion attack on the newly colonised world, is fast and deadly, killing more than five thousand people in less than a day. Five battle-damaged ships are all that remains of the Earth and Planets Confederation’s Third Battle Group. When they arrive unannounced at Becket’s World asking to be rescued from the superior alien force that is still pursuing them.
